The Corkordian Wallet
Every now and again I just love to whip up a speedy project with a lot of personality. This is why when I found a scrap of gold flecked pink cork in my stash I could not wait to make this lovely minimalist wallet. Despite its slim lines ( it measures 3.25 inches by 4.75 inches – 10.5 cms by 12 cms), it really does have room for everything you might need. It has credit card pockets, a slip pocket for coupons or receipts and room for notes – and its accordion sides mean coins remain secure inside even when open. It’s fastened by a white plastic snap. Of course I could not resist a little embroidered rosebud to finish it off!
Cork is a lovely fabric to work with and of course is completely sustainable which – for me – adds to its charm.
This is the only one in this fabric but I shall be making more – perhaps in thin leather?
Of course – like everything I sell – this item is completely made by me in my home studio here on the glorious Isle of Man !
